像豪华的仙都娜庄园一样地颓败了
凯恩
一个奋斗了一生的成功人士
在他垂死的嘴唇上
轻轻说出来的那个字眼
像是来不及开放的花朵
仍然紧裹着自己的秘密
在片中
当他初遇苏珊时
功成名就的他表示“要去寻找童年”
正是那一刻
他有点伤感地说着墙上的影子：“不
是玫瑰花蕾
”管家提供了索价1000美元的线索：当凯恩攥着那个飘雪的水晶球时
再度吐露了这个字眼
究竟什么是玫瑰花蕾？是一个女孩的名字？是初恋的定情信物？一件得不到的东西？还是一段无法抹去的记忆？ 当记者得出结论“什么也不是”之后

在烈焰熊熊的壁炉中
凯恩童年时的滑雪板被扔了进去
火焰舔掉了滑雪板上的经年积尘
渐渐地露出了这四个字：“玫瑰花蕾
”再也没有人关心真相了
每个人都找到了自己想到的东西
每个人还要忙碌自己的生活
只有我
心里一刹那被击痛了
“玫瑰花蕾”原来是滑雪板的名字！大火很快舔掉了这个字眼
舔掉了滑雪板
一切烧成了灰
化作烟尘
查理·弗斯特·凯恩死了
